PLUS Coalition Expands Board of Directors with New Appointments

The Picture Licensing Universal System (PLUS) Coalition, an international nonprofit standards organization, has made a significant expansion to its board of directors for 2008. PLUS directors are noted industry professionals, participating on behalf of leading nonprofit associations and designated to represent industries with which they have close affiliations.

The new appointments are as follows:

  • David S. Ferriero, Andrew W. Mellon director of the New York Public Libraries
  • Clement Mok, independent designer and consultant, and a former creative director at Apple
  • Scott Brownstein, digital imaging technologist and former CTO of Applied Graphics Technologies
  • Dustin Wees, director of metadata and cataloging for ArtStor
  • and Alan Newman, chief of the Imaging and Visual Services division of the National Gallery of Art.
