Stephen Marc, a professional photographer and professor at Arizona State University, has created a series of digital montages that focus on the spirit of African American culture and illustrate different aspects of black history.
Each montage incorporates a variety of equipment and software programs, including 3D scanners and 35mm and digital cameras. “I generally work with several different patterns and often experiment with dropping in sections of photographs, drawings, family snapshots, antique photographs and elements of African American culture in order to describe a story or a piece of black history,” Marc said.
