Pasadena, Calif.-based photographer Patrick Hebert has been awarded the 2008 Excellence in Photographic Teaching Award from Center, formerly known as the Santa Fe Center for Photography.
Hebert teaches at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and is the associate director of education for the AIDS Project in Los Angeles.
An honorable mention award also went to Sama Alshaibi, assistant professor of photography at the University of Arizona.
