In February, Suzi Eszterhas, of Tiburon, Calif., became the first-ever recipient of Ranger Rick magazine's Photographer of the Year Award. Eszterhas, who has a strong commitment to sharing her love of wildlife with children, was selected for her photographic contributions to the magazine in 2008, including Alaskan grizzly bears and cheetahs from Namibia.
The award comes with a $1,000 check and a short article about Eszterhas' photography in the May 2009 issue of Ranger Rick, published by the National Wildlife Federation.
