James Nachtwey Awarded 2003 Dan David Prize

New York photojournalist James Nachtwey has been awarded the 2003 Dan David Prize in the Past, Present and Future Time Dimension/Print & Electronic Media category. Best known for his photo essays of war, Nachtwey has traveled all over the world documenting social issues, famine and the plight of the disfranchised. Nachtwey has been a contract photographer with Time magazine since 1984.

The prize, named after international entrepreneur and auto photo booth developer Dan David, is funded from a $100 million endowment administered by Tel Aviv University.
