The new Phase One P 45 and P 30 digital backs have been designed for commercial photographers. The P 45 has a 39-megapixel sensor and 117MB file sizes per shot, for sharper, more detailed images. The P 21 boasts 60 frames per minute, with processed image files of 54 MB.
The new P 30 is targeted toward fashion photographers. Its new 6.8-micron pixels in the 31-megapixel sensor, together with Capture One software, provide noise-free images with natural colors and no moiré.
The fully portable digital P-backs also offer wireless image transfer of previews and RAW images, along with 3S (Secure Storage System) technology. This new feature improves the storage security level by checking the validity on every CF card inserted in the P-back, elimin-ating the risk of accidentally writing to damaged storage media.
The P 45 starts at a list price of $29,999; and the P 30 starts at $16,990.
