Mamiya has released two new high-performance digital lenses for the Mamiya 645AFD II and the new 645AFD III camera systems.
The Mamiya Sekor AF 150mm f/2.8 IF D and the 45-90mm Zoom AF f/4.5 D Aspherical are the latest additions to Mamiya's D Series and contain 16-bit CPUs that allows for reliable communication between lens and bodies.
The Sekor AF 150mm f/2.8 IF D is Mamiya's fastest telephoto lens. It uses low-dispersion glass to allow correction of chromatic aberrations and produces accurate color and high-contrast images from infinity to 3.3 feet. It features an angle of view of 26 degrees. It uses internal focusing (IF), which is ideal for handheld photography, and contains one-touch autofocus and manual focus actions.
The Sekor Zoom AF 45-90mm is a wide-angle to normal lens that also uses low-dispersion glass. Since wide-angle lenses can cause color shift problems with digital backs, the 45-90mm has been designed to direct light onto the digital sensor at an angle that is ideal for digital photography. It features an angle of view of 42 to 76 degrees, which is equivalent to a 28-56mm lens in a 35mm format, with one-touch focusing actions and a minimum focusing distance of 19 inches.
Prices for the AF 150mm and the Zoom AF 45-90mm are to be announced.
