Nikon has introduced its sixth generation of wi-fi-enabled cameras with the new Coolpix S610c.

The S610c's wireless service is provided by Wayport, allowing consumers to share their images and videos from over 10,000 locations nationwide, including more than 9,700 participating McDonald's restaurants and major hotel chains. The Coolpix S610c uses the Wi-Fi Protected Set-up (WPS) and also features a One Touch E-mail button and Nikon's My Picturetown.

In addition, the S610c offers the user 10 megapixels, a 3.6x Zoom-Nikkor wide-angle glass lens and a 3-inch LCD screen. Features include an Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Image Stabilization system, an ISO up to 3200 and a start-up time of 0.7 second. Smile Mode, Active Child Mode, Scene Auto Selector Mode and Motion Detection are standard on this model.

The Coolpix S610c comes bundled with the Coolpix Software Suite for transferring, organizing, editing and sharing images. The camera uses a rechargeable Nikon EN-EL12 lithium-ion battery and is compatible with a wide array of SD and SDHC memory cards.

The Coolpix S610c has a suggested retail price of $329.
