Fujifilm recently released the latest addition to its S-series, the SLR-styled FinePix S9000 digital camera. The S9000 boasts a 9-megapixel capture and incorporates Real Photo Technology, a Super CCD HR sensor, a Fujinon 10.7x wide-angle optical zoom lens and the RP Processor technology of the FinePix F10 digital camera.

With Real Photo Technology, the FinePix S9000 can take pictures at ISO 1600 at full resolution. Other benefits of Real Photo Technology include speed of operation and longer battery life. In addition to offering low noise processing, the new S9000 is equipped with a multiple-setting mode dial, a manual zoom, full-frame movie capture (VGA-quality, 30 frames per second) and the ability to shoot in the RAW file format.

Other features include a Super Macro Mode for pictures up to 0.4 inches, a hot shoe and synchronizing terminal for external flash, a tilting LCD for high- and low-angle shooting, and a dual media slot that accepts xD Picture cards and CompactFlash/Microdrives.

The FinePix S9000 retails for $699.
