Fujifilm Debuts Sensor Technology with Finepix F200EXR Compact

Fujifilm has released the FinePix F200EXR, a compact digital camera using the new Super CCD EXR technology. The F200EXR combines a 12-megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor with a Fujinon 5.0x wide-angle optical zoom lens for a 35mm equivalent range of 28-140mm and a 3-inch high-resolution LCD.

The F200EXR's Super CCD EXR sensor offers three selectable modes: Fine Capture Mode (for high resolution); Pixel Fusion Mode (for high sensitivity and low noise); and Dual Capture (for wide dynamic range).

The camera also offers dynamic range bracketing, dual image stabilization, Face Detection 3.0, and ISO settings of up to 12800. It also offers continuous shooting at 1.4 frames per second at full resolution, high-speed playback at full resolution at 10 frames per second and a Dual Shot mode. The F200EXR features a wheel navigation dial to select images and modes.

The FinePix F200EXR camera has a retail price of $399.
