Nikon has introduced its Coolpix S4, one of the new S series. The Coolpix S4 features six effective megapixels and a 10x Zoom-Nikkor lens that offers 38-380mm performance (35mm equivalent).
The lens of the S4 is housed within a swiveling body that allows it to be directed independently of the LCD monitor. As a result, pictures can be taken from a range of angles. The photographer can even point the lens and the LCD monitor in the same direction for self-portraits.
Other features include in-camera red-eye fix, a blur warning function, four movie modes with up to 15 frames per second and a choice of 16 scene modes.
The Coolpix S4 also features a newly designed grip and a 2.5-inch LCD.
The Coolpix S4 retails for $399.
