Zoom has combined its video and audio technology to create the Q3HD, the first entry-level camcorder to offer both full HD video and HD audio (24-bit/96kHz).
To offer users a variety of shooting options, the Q3HD records in 1080p at 30fps or in 720p at 30 and 60fps. With 4x digital zoom and a larger, redesigned aperture, this unit offers users better handheld lighting options.
A new creative feature, "concert lighting," allows the camera to capture clear, detailed videos, even in light-intensive environments that would cause most camcorders to wash out.
After shooting video, scenes can be watched on the camcorder's color LCD screen or through the built-in HDMI port.
The Q3HD comes with a 2GB SD card (approximately 45 minutes of HD video) and accepts up to a 32GB SDHC card (7 hours of HD video). The Q3HD retails for $299.
