Dan Karvasek’s image of a flock of snow geese taking flight over Washington’s Skagit Valley has been chosen as the March 2003 photograph for Nikon’s International Photo Contest Calendar. Karvasek was one of four U.S. photographers whose work will appear in the calendar.

With the global reach and 24/7 timeliness of the Internet, new demands are placed on the seller. As e-commerce matures with the ever-expanding Internet, many companies are now looking for new ways to display and sell their products. The sun is fading over the Rocky Mountains on a late winter Friday afternoon in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Tom Mangelsen, a powerful man in his mid-50s, is tucked away in his downtown studio, surrounded by 2,500 boxes of film he has shot and developed in the past few years but not yet had time to review.
