About Us
The PhotoMedia Group, Inc.
Please note: PhotoMedia discontinued publication of its print edition after distribution of the Fall 2012 issue.
Now in its 25th year of publishing, PhotoMedia magazine targets serious creators and users of photography. It is intended to educate and inspire readers on all aspects of traditional and digital photography.
It is the only print publication of its sort in the entire United States – a regional magazine (concentrating on all states west of the Rocky Mountains except Hawaii) with broad photography industry coverage, which is distributed free to readers at strategic locations throughout the region including select specialty photo retailers, labs and service bureaus, photo schools and workshops, colleges with photo programs, and photo galleries throughout the western U.S. Paid subscriptions are also available for those preferring delivery by mail.
PhotoMedia magazine is published three times per year (Spring, Summer and Fall, approx. 28,000+ copies per issue) and is printed on a heat-set web press on 4-color-capable high-gloss paper throughout. Its 9? x 10-7/8? trim size affords a slightly larger-than-average format to present photographs and graphics with high impact in a very reader-friendly open design and careful attention to not crowding advertising or stories.
After looking over an issue of PhotoMedia, we are confident the reader will be impressed with its absorbing editorial and visual content including features about foremost photographers and their work, industry trends and special locations to photograph. Additionally, news about the industry and noteworthy newsmakers, technical features and new product reports encourage readers to consider new products, services, techniques and other photo opportunities, while keeping them in touch with what’s happening in the industry. A strong emphasis is placed on the photo selection, photo layouts and print reproduction throughout the magazine.
