Sony recently expanded its camcorder line with seven new models, including a hard disk drive camcorder.

The DCR-DVD105 provides the benefits of recording video directly to -R/-RW/+RW DVD media. It incorporates a 680K-pixel advanced HAD CCD, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 2.5-inch hybrid SwivelScreen touch-panel LCD and color viewfinder. It is priced at about $500.

Sony's new, thin Cyber-shot DSC-T7 digital camera is slightly more than 1/3 inch thick, with a 2.5-inch, hybrid LCD screen that covers about two-thirds of the back of the camera. Despite its small size, the camera incorporates the features of other T-series models. Sony has expanded its Cyber-shot T-series of digital still cameras with the 5.1-megapixel DSC-T33 model. The camera maintains its slim design with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optical lens, which operates within the camera rather than extending outside. It also has a 3X optical zoom.
