AP Images Outbids Getty in NFL Contract Agreements

AP Images, the photo licensing branch of the Associated Press (AP), has won a multi-year contract to secure commercial licensing rights to images of National Football League games. Getty Images had possessed the rights since 2004.

Despite early fears of internet censorship by the Chinese government, professional photographers in Beijing this summer were able to capture and transmit a stunning array of images to the rest of the world during the 2008 Olympic Games.

Serge Timacheff Named Official Photographer for Athens Summer Olympics Fencing Competitions

The International Fencing Federation has chosen Serge Timacheff, a partner with Tiger Mountain Photo in Issaquah, Wash., as the official photographer for all fencing competitions at the Summer Olympic Games in Athens.

Timacheff photographed the world fencing championships in Havana, Cuba, last October and the world junior fencing championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in April. His work has been published and exhibited worldwide, and currently is featured on the cover of four major U.S. and international fencing magazines.
