Tamron will be releasing its own version of a popular all-purpose lens with the SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD.

The lens company has said that this lens will feature a full-size high-speed standard zoom, VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization and USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive). With this lens, Tamron will use a high-grade glass for the three LD elements and three glass molded aspherical lenses.

The price and availability of the SP 24-70mm are to be announced.
