Hasselblad has announced a new tilt/shift adapter, the lightweight HTS 1.5 adapter, on its HCD28mm, HC35mm, HC50mm and HC80mm lenses. The adapter delivers corrective and creative image control to the H3DII series of cameras.
The HTS 1.5 is equipped with integral sensors on all axes that determine where the lens is positioned to correct for perspective. It can enlarge the image circle of the lens by a factor of 1.5 to allow for the +/- 18mm range of shift movement; it can magnify focal length by 1.5x; its tilt can be set between -10° and +10°; and its adapter can rotate +/- 90°.
The HTS 1.5 adapter is compatible with all H-system cameras and will be available in early 2009 for about $5,000.
