Tapping into the all-in-one niche, Olympus has debuted a new line of compact cameras with the SZ-30MR — a full-feature, super-zoom camera with 16-megapixel resolution and a 24x optical wide-angle (25-600mm equivalent) zoom lens.
Olympus has specialized this model with a dual engine processor and a multi-recording function that captures full 1080p HD and still images simultaneously.
Three new creative features were introduced with the 30MR, including watercolor, sparkle, beauty and punk modes. The 30MR offers a 9-frame-per-second rapid-burst mode, even when shooting in high resolution, and can shoot up to ISO 3200 when using dual image stabilization. Other features include shadow adjustment technology and intelligent auto modes.
Besides the video and still functions, this model also shoots in 3D and has eye-fi card compatibility, a feature that allows users to wirelessly upload images to their computer.
The Olympus SZ-30MR retails for $399.
