Fujifilm has released FinePix F600 EXR, a 16-megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor compact camera that features a new motion-detection mode to reduce subject blur in all lighting conditions.
Notable features include a 15x wide-angle optical zoom lens (the 35mm equivalent of a 24-360mm lens), which can be doubled when using intelligent digital zoom mode, and a one-half-inch 16-megapixel back-side illuminated sensor.
The built-in GPS functionality has been enhanced with a landmark navigator feature that helps users pinpoint locations.
Images can be shot in three modes: EXR HR (high-resolution) 16-megapixel priority mode; EXR DR (dynamic range) priority mode, which captures two images and then merges them together; and EXR SN (signal-to-noise) priority mode, in which pixels are doubled up to increase sensitivity and provide better results in low-light conditions.
The F600 EXR also has an enhanced motion-panorama mode, which can stitch images together to create a single 360-degree image.
Fujifilm’s latest compact camera will come in red, black and white, and will be available for around $429 later this fall.
