Panasonic has created the 10.1-megapixel Lumix LX5, a compact digital camera with a high-sensitivity CCD sensor and an f/2.0 Leica lens.
With the ultra-bright, ultra-wide-angle 24mm Leica DC Vario-Summicron lens, the LX5 minimizes image distortion and offers up to 3.8x optical zoom.
The camera also offers HD video capture in AVCHD Lite — a format that allows for nearly double the amount of HD video storage — and enhanced video with an array of creative filters.
The camera is compatible with a slew of accessories, including a live viewfinder, an external optical viewfinder, a wide conversion lens, a conversion lens adapter, an MC protector, an ND Filter, a PL Filter and external flashes.
The Lumix DMC-LX5 has a suggested retail price of $499 and is available in black or white.
