Nikon has announced the compact Coolpix S710, featuring 14.5-megapixel resolution, the optics of a 3.6x Zoom-Nikkor wide-angle glass lens, and the contours and finish of a stainless-steel body.
For sharper images, the S710 has four features to reduce image blur: full-time Optical VR Image Stabilization technology, a new Motion Detection feature, Best Shot Selector and a high ISO range up to 12,800.
The S710 provides users with several modes of capture, including the new Scene Auto Selector Mode, which automatically picks the right scene mode for the image being shot. The camera also features technologies such as In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, D-Lighting and Face Priority AF.
For easy sharing and viewing, the S710 features a 3-inch LCD display with anti-reflective coating and a viewing angle of 170 degrees. It is compatible with new high-capacity SDHC cards and uses an EN-EL12 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The S710 is featured in Graphite Black, Deep Red and Brilliant Silver at a suggested retail price of $379.
