Olympus has released the E-620, a 12.3-megapixel SLR camera with a 2.7-inch Live View HyperCrystal III LCD Screen, boasting a lightweight, 16-ounce body.
With six creative in-camera art filters-Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale and Light Color, Grainy Film, Light Tone and Pin Hole-and multiple-exposure shooting, users can manipulate photos just as with a manual camera.
The Image Capture feature allows users to capture two shots on the same frame and later superimpose them to create more precise images. Users can also superimpose up to three different shots to create unique textures and images.
The E-620 offers four aspect ratio settings, including the standard 4:3 for 8×10-inch enlargements; 16:9 for widescreen television format; 6:6 for a square image; and 3:2 for 4×6-inch prints.
A seven-point twin cross autofocus (AF) system provides fast and accurate focusing, and the Phase Detection AF sensor locks onto moving subjects or onto faces in low-light settings. In-Body Image Stabilization also helps to ensure clear photos.
Face detection focuses on up to eight faces, and Shadow Adjustment technology automatically adjusts dark shadows and overly bright areas.
The E-620 comes with a Zuiko digital 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and has an estimated price of $799.
