Olympus has developed an even smaller-bodied model of its micro four-thirds camera, the EP-2 — a 12.3-megapixel interchangeable-lens camera with an enhanced continuous autofocus tracking system, two new art filers and additional connectivity ports. C-AF Tracking and AF Target registration allow users to lock onto subjects and adjust exposure and focus.
New to this camera, the diorama art filter creates a "miniature model" with narrow depth of focus and enhanced subject contrast. The cross-process art filter easily manipulates color and contrast levels. With new connection ports, the E-P2 can link to the EMA-1 microphone adapter, a detachable VF-2 live viewfinder that provides 1.15x magnification of images, or an FL-14 flash unit.
Sold as a kit, the E-P2 Body, VF-2 Electronic View Finder and ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens or 17mm f2.8 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens retails for $1,099.
