Rime Lite USA has launched the XB Prime Monolight series, a new wireless pro lighting system designed for advanced studio photography.
Available in four different models (300, 500, 700 and 1,200 watts) XB PRIME sports a seven f-stop power output range in one-tenth increments. In addition, it offers a fast flash duration for stop action photography and faster recycle time.
The system is adjusted from a 2-inch LCD screen. Photographers can also run the system from a desktop lighting control, which is currently available for PCs and will be available for Macs later this year.
For greater control, the Prime has push and dial knobs to adjust to a one-tenth increment.
The XB Prime weighs 6.4 pounds and is housed in an aluminum alloy body. Other features include a built-in umbrella holder, an end-user replaceable flash tube, a screw mount frosted protective glass dome, a rapid reflector lock-n-release latch and a 300-watt Halogen modeling light.
