PhotoDex has announced an update to the ProShow product line of photo slideshow software.

Version 3.1 showcases an updated user interface and creative features and effects in the Creative Toolbar. The toolbar allows users to manage and edit slide layers, add motion effects to still photos, add captions and sound, and more.

Up to 15 different file formats are available for output, including Flash and QuickTime. ProShow 3.1 is available in Standard for beginners, Gold for photo enthusiasts and Producer for professionals. Gold and Producer features include unlimited slide layers, more than 280 slide transition effects, randomization effects and the capability to hold an unlimited number of slides.

Producer contains many business-oriented features, including creation and display in real time and enhanced copy protection. Producer also features compressed AVI format (unavailable in Gold version). A 15-day trial version is available for download at photodex.com.

The ProShow Standard is priced at $29, Gold at $69 and Producer at $249. (Previous ProShow users are eligible for a free upgrade.)
