Nikon debuts its fast-aperture AF-S Nikkor 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II super telephoto and AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III for FX- and DX-format cameras.
The lens is equipped with improved vibration reduction (VR II) and optimized autofocus (AF) modes in the lens. With this lens, users have three focusing options: manual mode, autofocus with manual priority mode, and the new A/M mode to provide varying focus control. The AF-S teleconverter is the first teleconverter to feature an aspherical element that eliminates aberrations, even at wide apertures.
The Nikkor 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens has an estimated price of $5,899, and the AF-S Teleconverter TC-20E III retails for $499.
