Tamron has released its SP AF10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) lens featuring a 2.4x zoom ratio. The lens is designed exclusively for Canon and Nikon digital SLRs with APS-C-sized image sensors.
The optical system features large-aperture, glass-molded aspherical elements, hybrid aspherical elements and elements made of special low-dispersion glass and high-refractive-index glass. The lens also allows for enhanced peripheral illumination and a reduction in ghosting and flare.
The SP AF10-24mm Di II features a focal-length range with the 35mm equivalent of 16mm ultra-wide-angle to 37mm semi-wide-angle and a minimum focus distance of 9.4 inches across the zoom range. The zoom accepts 77mm filters and comes standard with a glare-reducing, flower-shaped lens hood.
The price is to be announced.
