Canon will release two new telephoto lenses for its EOS product family in April and May. The new lenses will include an Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) system that allows for a stabilization effect equal to a shutter speed four times faster.

The EF200mm f/2L USM and the EF800mm f/5.6L IS USM lenses are professional L-Series lenses with optical systems that use fluorite and UD lens elements to provide for high-resolution, high-contrast images.

The new EF200 will be significantly lighter than its predecessor and is ideal for low-light photography, with a close-focus setting of 6.2 feet. The EF800 will be the longest-focal-length lens with OIS available.

The new EF200 will be available in April at an estimated retail price of $5,999. The EF800's release is scheduled for May at $11,999.
