Hasselblad has introduced its newest H3D DSLR camera. The H3D-31, with 48mm full-frame ability, is the improved 31-megapixel version of the H3D-39. The new model uses a 44×33mm sensor enhanced with micro-lenses to boost the ISO rating one stop to a new maximum of ISO 800.
The system's high-speed capabilities allow for fast operation and a capture rate of 1.2 seconds per image in either mobile or tethered mode. The camera offers the highest burst rate of the H3D series and uses Hasselblad's natural color solution to improve image quality. The new model also has a faster capture rate. When compared to the high-end 35mm D-SLRs, the HD3 has improved pixel resolution, better color and detail rendering and a variety of viewfinders for creative image composition.
The camera comes equipped with a 28mm lens, designed and optimized for digital image capture. The lens improves the quality of the photos by including digital correction for color aberration and distortion.
Designed with the professional photographer in mind, it lets the user choose between eye-level and waist-level viewfinders, digitally APO-corrected lenses and on-the-fly classification of images, and it allows for film use if desired.
The H3D-31 has a retail price of $24,995.
