Fantom Drives has introduced the G-Force MegaDisk eSATA+USB high-performance external storage system with multiple RAID options and dual-interface connectivity in 1 terabyte (TB), 1.5TB and 2TB capacities.

SanDisk Launches Line of HD Video Memory Cards

SanDisk has debuted a new line of flash memory products for high-definition video capture based on the ExpressCard technology. The Express line is available in 8- and 16-gigabyte capacities with recording times of 35 megabits per second for up to 60 minutes on the 16GB card. The ExpressCard technology is a successor to the PC Card standard and connects directly to a computer’s PCI Express bus.

SanDisk Speeds Up with Ultra II

SDHC Plus Line SanDisk has introduced the Ultra II SDHC Plus line of high-capacity SD cards in 32-, 16- and 8-gigabyte (GB) capacities. The new SDHC cards are designed for camcorders and point-and-shoot digital cameras and offer read and write speeds of 15MB per second. The 32GB card can store up to 8,000 high-resolution pictures or up to 40 hours of video.
The 32GB and 16GB SDHC cards come with a SanDisk MicroMate USB 2.0 Reader at a suggested retail price of $349 and $179, respectively. The 8GB card is $99.



Delkin Introduces Four-Slot CF Reader

Delkin has released a new card reader, the ImageRouter, a four-slot, USB 2.0 CompactFlash reader with a built-in powered hub. When users combine it with the BackupandBurn file management software, they can utilize all four slots at transfer rates of 19MB per second for reading and 18MB per second for writing.

SanDisk Doubles Card Capacities

SanDisk Corp. has doubled the capacities of two of its SanDisk Ultra II line of flash memory cards with the addition of the 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card and the 2GB SD Plus, which also includes a USB connector for rapid transfer of photos or other data without a separate card reader.

Lexar Increases CompactFlash Speed

Lexar Media has doubled the speed rating of its Professional 8GB CompactFlash memory card to 90X. The new card is capable of a minimum sustained data write speed of 13.5MB per second.

Like all Lexar professional flash memory cards, the new 8GB CompactFlash includes Image Rescue 2, the company’s image recovery software; Paint Shop Pro 9, Corel’s image editing and management software program; and a trial version of Photo Mechanic image browsing software by Camera Bits.

The retail price for the 8GB card is $475.
