Michael Grecco (michaelgrecco.com), based in Santa Monica, Calif., recently finished a campaign for the ACLU that featured Lawrence Bender, Quentin Tarantino’s producer. The Grecco team also has been busy shooting for ESPN (The Magazine), Dr. Pepper, Campbell’s and Accenture.

Chris Rainier recently released his latest book, Ancient Marks, which documents traditional tribal tattooing around the globe. Images from the book were displayed this summer on the photo screen in New York City’s Times Square. Jim Felt and Henry Ngan, owners of Studio 3, recently celebrated the 30th year of their photography business. The two high school friends founded the business in 1974. At its peak, they had studios in four cities, including Detroit and Greensboro, N.C. Since then, they have focused on operating studios in Seattle and Portland, Ore., with a staff of seven photographers.

Jenifer Schramm has resigned her position as executive director of the Photographic Center Northwest. Schramm joined the nonprofit, community-based center as education director in 1998, and became executive director in 2001.

During her tenure, PCNW became a regional art center hosting classes, lectures and exhibits by internationally recognized photographers and collectors, including Bruce Davidson, Graciela Iturbide, Mary Ellen Mark, Sebastiao Salgado and Paul Brainerd.

A new TV series called "Making It Big" featured Seattle commercial photographer Linda Young of Red Dot Studios. The reality series is based on the book, "Wildly Sophisticated: A Bold New Attitude to Career Success," by Nicole Williams, the show's creative producer.

Young was selected as one of the three finalists to compete in a "career opportunity of a lifetime" against two other up-and-coming photographers.

The episode aired on the Oxygen Network on March 12.

Karen Huntt and Michele Westmorland have received sponsorship for a new project called "Headhunt Revisited." The project will celebrate the achievements of artist/explorers Caroline Mytinger and Margaret Warner, who chronicled various cultures in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in the 1920s.
