Just a year after the release of the Rebel T2i, Canon has put out yet another iteration on their EOS Rebel line with the T3i and T3 DSLR cameras.

For those looking to upgrade from the T1i or T2i, Canon has improved their T3i with 18-megapixel resolution, 3.7fps RAW shooting mode, and a 3-inch vari-angle, swivel LCD screen. This version also has several new filters included such as soft focus, grainy black and white, toy camera and tilt-shift.

The T3, which has 12.2-megapixel resolution, is a more economical option for people looking to get into DSLR photography. With this camera, Canon touts excellent low-light capabilities and 3fps shooting speeds.

Both cameras come equipped with Canon's new "guide instruction" mode, which essentially gives users a demo of all the camera's settings. The T3i also has a scene intelligent auto mode, which improves auto shots by taking the picture style (color, content, contrast and movement) into account before determining the optimal settings.

Video capability also varies between the two cameras. The T3i has full 1080p HD video (1920 x 1080), while the T3 captures at 1280 x 720 HD. Both offer video snapshot mode, which allows users to take stills while filming, as well as a video zoom feature that achieves up to 10x magnification while shooting.

The T3i is sold in a body-only configuration for $799, in a kit with the new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens for $899, or in a kit with the new EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens for $1,099.

The T3 Digital will be offered in April as a kit with Canon's EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II zoom lens for $599.

Along with these cameras, Canon has also released two new flash attachments, the Speedlight 320X and 270EX II. Along with all the traditional flash functions, the 320X includes a built-in LED continuous light option that provides full-time illumination for short distances when shooting video, as well as wireless transmitter. The 270EX II is a lightweight option compatible with SLRs, as well as certain PowerShot models.

The 320EX and the 270EX II will be available in April for $249 and $169, respectively.
